Pleasant Friday
Today was a very nice day with near-average temperatures under ample sunshine. Temperatures warm Saturday, and there could be a few showers and thundershowers in the late afternoon and early evening. Sunday brings more clouds, cooler temperatures, and a better chance of afternoon rain and thunder. Overall, Sunday should be a nice day. We get lots of sunshine next week with small chances of afternoon showers or thundershowers Monday and Tuesday—temperatures cool Wednesday and Thursday.
We Have Winners!
123 photographers submitted over 700 photos in the contest. Then almost 30,000 votes were cast in voting for the best photo. The overall quality of photos was amazing--we could have produced 5 beautiful calendars from these submissions! Click here to see all the winning photos.
Additional photos will be selected as "Best of the Rest" photos during the next couple weeks as we do the design work on for next year's calendar.
Congratulations and thanks to all the winners!

Forecast Discussion
A cold front moving in from the northeast late Saturday afternoon could help spark a few showers and thundershowers late Saturday afternoon and into the early evening. Temperatures are warmer Saturday.
The cold front stalls just to the south and washes out, but it will generate more clouds Sunday, and the afternoon shower and thundershower coverage will be a little greater than Saturday, but not much rain is expected. Temperatures are cooler Sunday.
High pressure builds in for Monday with warmer temperatures and very small chances of afternoon rain and thunder. A cold front will move in from the north Tuesday, increasing the chances for afternoon rain and thunder—the front moves through Tuesday night, and temperatures will cool for Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday and Thursday look to be fantastic days.
Tropical Storm Arlene has formed in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. However, it is expected to move south toward Cuba and should not affect our weather.
