An Extended Warm, Dry Period

This weekend's weather looks delightful with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. Next week looks much the same, with temperatures running approximately 5 degrees above normal with ample sunshine through the period. A front might change things up toward the end of the workweek.

Forecast Discussion

An upper level disturbance will exit the Eastern Seaboard tonight and Saturday. As we discussed yesterday, this will form an “Omega Block” over the weekend and into early next week, with troughs off/along both coasts of the United States and a big ridge of high pressure in the middle.

The big ridge part of the block will be our big weather influencer over the next week. This will promote fair and unseasonably warm weather over the next several days. It will be a true taste of Indian Summer weather conditions.

Just beyond our forecast cycle, a cold front might change things up a bit with some showers returning by next Friday or Saturday. Quite honestly, we’ll be in need of rainfall by then after this rather lengthy dry spell.
